R29 (South Africa)
The R29 is a provincial route in South Africa that connects Johannesburg with Leandra and Kinross via Germiston, Boksburg, Benoni and Springs. For much of its route it is named Main Reef Road. The R29 used to end near the Golela border post, however the section from Evander to Ermelo is now part of the N17 (prior to construction of the N17 extension from Leandra to Evander, the N17 followed the alignment of R29 from Leandra; however, the extension of the N17 highway has resulted in the old section of the road being given to R29) and the section from Ermelo to the Golela border post just after Pongola is now part of the N2. From Springs to the R580 junction north of Evander, the R29 is parallel to the N17 Highway. Route Gauteng The R29 begins in Johannesburg, Gauteng, at a junction with the R41 Road (Main Reef Road) in the Westgate suburb adjacent to the Johannesburg CBD, as Marshall Street eastwards and Anderson Street westwards (one-way streets). The R29 continues eastwa ...

R29 (New York City Subway Car)
The R29 was a New York City Subway car model built by the St. Louis Car Company in 1962 for the IRT A Division. A total of 236 cars were built, arranged in married pairs. The R29s entered service on April 28, 1962, and received air conditioning by 1982. The fleet was rebuilt by Morrison–Knudsen between 1985 and 1987. The R29s were replaced in 2001 & 2002 with the delivery of the R142 and R142A cars, with the last train running on October 24, 2002. After being retired, most R29s were sunk into the ocean as artificial reefs, but two cars have survived. Description The R29s were numbered 8570–8805. Between 1985 and 1987, the R29s were overhauled under contract ''R99''. Therefore, the cars are also known as R99s in their post-overhaul state. The R29s are very similar to appearance to the R26s and R28s, with the exceptions that they were built by a different company and permanently paired with link bars (instead of couplers). The R29s were split into two sub groups: * Car ...

AEKKEA-RAAB R-29
The AEKKEA-RAAB R-29 was a Greek single-seat parasol monoplane trainer and/or light fighter developed by Antonius Raab, a German aircraft designer, with his Greek partners and was the sole Raab aircraft to be developed in Greece. Design and development The airplane had wooden wings and an Elektron (alloy) metal-tube fuselage.Raab, 1984, p.134 However, there is no exact record for produced numbers. The R-29 was a new design developed by Raab's Greek company in late 1936 but shared structural characteristics with the preceding R-27 type (a type also first recorded as an AEKKEA-RAAB product by ''Jane's'' 1935 ed., most probably designed earlier by Raab and never produced), which featured an inline Hispano-Suiza 12Y engine, retractable undercarriage and twin machine-guns. Export documents to Spain and ''Jane's'' (1936 ed.) reported it as a fighter, but Raab later described it as a trainer,Raab, 1984, p.134 which would be borne out by the low powered engine chosen. A batch of these ai ...
